Accelerated Welding Academy
Tuesday, September 20, 2022 to Thursday, October 27, 2022
Tuesday: 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

An Accelerated Welding Academy:

10 hours of classroom instruction, including Math for Welders. Weld Symbols, and Safety.

30 hour of hands on welding instruction, including: GMAW MIG Welding, Intro to Oxyfuel Cutting, Intro SMAW (Stick), Intro to Plasma Cutting.  Plus Northstar Digital Literacy Computer Training.

Includes OSHA 10 training and Essential Skills for Employment ( 16 hours)

How to Participate

Grant funding is available and may cover the entire cost.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Cannot be enrolled in High School

Must be 18 years of age

Individual of color / Hispanic

 Individual with a criminal record

Individual without a high school diploma or equivalent

Individual with disabilities

Individual who has been unemployed for 15 weeks or more out of the past 52 weeks or

Individual at or below the 200 Percent of Federal Poverty guidelines

Outcomes

You will receive 2 certificates of attendance and 1 college credit upon completion.
