Manufacturing Training - No Cost

Wednesday: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Thursday: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

You will learn computer skills, safety skills, and the basics of how things are made. When you finish, you can earn three important certificates that help you get hired. 

Training is provided by Metro North Adult Basic Education and Anoka Technical College, with support from the Anoka County Job Training Center

Program Benefits Include: 

Digital Literacy Certificate – Learn the computer skills needed for work 
Manufacturing Training – Learn safety, quality, production, and maintenance 
National Certificates – Earn the MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) and OSHA10 
Job Search Help – Meet local employers who are ready to hire 
Career Coaching – Get help from staff during and after training 
Support Services – Help with gas cards, bus passes, testing fees, and more 
Stored Value Card Incentives – $50 for each CPT exam passed (up to $200) and $100 for 90 days of employment

Manufacturing is a big part of Minnesota’s economy. Companies need workers who can help make products safely and with quality. These jobs offer steady hours and good pay. This program helps you learn the skills to get hired and grow in this field.

• August 31 - September 18, 2026 (Weeks 1–3): Digital Literacy (in person)
• September 23 - December 16, 2026 (Weeks 4–14): Manufacturing training (online)

How to Participate

Eligibility 

To join this program, you must: 
• Be 18 or older 
• Live in Minnesota 
• Be allowed to work in the U.S. 
• Not be in high school 
• Have barriers to finding work, such as being unemployed, having low income, or needing help building basic skills 

Participants need to have a computer or tablet and reliable internet access for the virtual course.
