Discrimination complaint

You have the right to fair treatment in CareerForce programs and services. You cannot be discriminated against or treated differently because of your:

  • Race
  • Color
  • Religion
  • National origin (including limited English proficiency)
  • Disability
  • Age
  • Sex (including gender identity or expression, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions)
  • Sexual orientation
  • Creed
  • Status with regard to public assistance
  • Political affiliation or belief
  • Citizenship status (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program participants only)
  • Participation in any WIOA Title1 financially assisted program or activity

What to do

If you think you are a victim of discrimination, make sure to write down:

  • What happened to you if you think it was unfair
  • The date or dates when the unfair treatment happened
  • The names of people that were there
  • What the people said

How to file a complaint of discrimination

  • Complete a complaint form
  • Contact the Department of Employment and Economic Development’s Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO) at DEED.ODEO@state.mn.us or call 651-259-7094
