KICK START YOUR CAREER IN CLEAN ENERGY! There is a high demand for trained installers in the fast-growing solar industry and other clean-energy related careers.

Get started with 4 weeks of training that includes job placement assistance!

  • Construction basics and hands-on shop training in our solar install lab
  • Instruction in electrical energy fundamentals, safety standards related to solar and electrical, solar and storage installation basics, common solar and maintenance tasks, site evaluation, and customer service
  • Get access to industry experts, tours and employer contacts
  • Professional career coaching, job placement assistance, and connections to career opportunities with great starting salaries
  • Receive industry recognized certifications in solar and installation, OSHA-10, and CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Eligible participants receive a stipend during training
  • Training available at NO COST to eligible students

Apply early! We start admission interviews for this training 4-6 weeks prior to class start.

Outcomes
  • Receive industry recognized certifications in solar and installation and workplace safety (OSHA-10, CPR/First Aid/AED)
  • We will help you find employment, assist you in maintaining your new position and even support you in career advancement opportunities
  • We will explore resources such as transportation, housing, childcare, and equipment that may be needed in order to work in your chosen field
Program Costs

Training available at NO COST to eligible students

Eligibility requirements:

  • Able to attend this 4-week course, 40 hours per week
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Committed to working full-time in the industry
  • Not enrolled in school
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Score at a 9th grade or higher in reading and math
  • Must be comfortable with heights (e.g., climbing roofs) and exposure to a variety of external elements and weather
  • Valid MN driver’s license
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • MN resident; Twin Cities Metro and surrounding counties
