- Hands-on shop training plus paid training on construction sites.
- Instruction in construction concepts and practices including green building, hand and power tools, blueprints, math and measuring, framing, sheathing, doors and windows, siding, roofing, insulation, drywall and deconstruction.
- Explore advanced technology using virtual reality tools.
- Industry speakers, tours and employer contacts.
- Professional career coaching and assistance with resumes, applications, interviewing, job search, retention and advancement.
- Receive industry recognized certifications such as OSHA 10, MDOT Flagger, Scissors Lift, and MC3
- Earn 36 continuing education units

Our Construction classes run year-round. We start a new Construction class approximately every 7 weeks, so apply today!
Outcomes
- We will help you find employment, assist you in maintaining your new position and even support you in career advancement opportunities.
- We will explore resources such as transportation, housing, childcare, and equipment that may be needed in order to work in your chosen field.
- Receive industry recognized certifications such as OSHA 10, MDOT Flagger, Scissors Lift, and MC3.
- Earn 36 continuing education units at St. Paul College
- Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota has a training articulation agreement with Saint Paul College. Students who successfully complete the Construction Program at Goodwill-Easter Seals can bypass the first term of Saint Paul College's Carpentry Diploma program and start in Semester 2.

Program Costs
Training available at NO COST to eligible students
Eligibility requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Interested in working full time in the construction industry
- Not enrolled in school
- HS Diploma or GED
- Score at a 6th grade or higher in reading; 7th grade or higher in math
- Physically able to complete construction tasks such as lifting 50lbs, kneeling, climbing ladders, etc.
- Valid MN driver's license
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Twin Cities Metro and surrounding counties
