Why Agriculture?
Agriculture is one of Minnesota’s largest industries. CDL drivers are needed to move grain and equipment. Your CDL means steady, good-paying jobs across the state.
Permit class at Metro Truck and Trailer October 12-13 or October 14-15; driving practice scheduled on your own.
Eligibility
Minnesota resident
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Able to qualify for a CDL (must pass DOT physical, background check, have non-commercial drivers license, etc.)
And one of the following:
- Laid off or notified of layoff and unlikely to return to previous job
- Long-term unemployed
- Self-employed but now out of work
- Recently separated veteran
- Displaced homemaker needing to work
- Spouse of relocated military member
- Injured (non-work-related) and can’t return to former job
- Eligible for Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA)
- Is an adult with a low income, is a recipient of public assistance, or is deficient in basic skills.

Participants will complete the training needed to get their CDL Class A or Class B with HazMat endorsement
