Unionized construction and manufacturing businesses in Minnesota are looking for more trained workers. These jobs pay well and come with good benefits and working conditions. Our in-person and online services will help train and connect you to these jobs with specialized assistance that meets the needs of busy adult learners. The program includes job skills training on-site at Saint Paul College, a work experience opportunity with stipend, and a full array of work readiness and job search assistance.
Skills training includes: OSHA-10 (virtual or in-person), Hand and Power Tool Familiarization, and Shop Calculation.
Work Readiness training includes: Worker Rights, Unions and Apprenticeship overviews, Employer Expectations, Employability Skills, Resume Enhancement, Networking, Job Search Skills, Interviewing.
In-Person Hands on Training: Manufacturing & Construction Essentials is designed in partnership with Saint Paul College. The training will be onsite at 235 Marshall Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55102, and parking will be available. The program offers both one-on-one assistance and group sessions. Our goal is to provide you with the training you need to succeed and help you secure a job in manufacturing or construction.
Eligibility: BIPOC individuals or low-income.
