Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

When your training is complete you will be eligible for interviews and networking opportunities with our employer partners, who are some of Minnesota’s top employers.  

Our Facilities & Maintenance Training Program includes professional 21st Century skills that employers are looking for in new hires and promotions. Personal Empowerment and Emotional Intelligence is a vital part of our training and builds the confidence needed to grow your career and become financially independent. 

Training Program includes: 

  • Skills needed to obtain entry level positions in the facilities & maintenance
  • Electrical & mechanical systems
  • Plumbing & blueprint reading basics
  • Boiler License prep material
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Certificate from Century College

Note for justice-impacted job seekers: Some felonies can create hurdles in the maintenance field and we will discuss this with you during your intake call.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Committed to pursuing FULL-TIME employment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • No Sexual Offenses or Arson convictions
  • Some felonies can create hurdles in the maintenance field and we will discuss this with you during your intake call
  • Individual Income within the last 12 months – $31,300 or less (or dependent on household size)
  • Must be a Minnesota resident with work authorization living in the Twin Cities Metro Area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington county). 

----Enrollment steps must always be completed 11 days before class start date @ 3:00pm----

Outcomes

The 8-week training program will equip you with the skills, tools and resources needed to become EMPOWERED & EMPLOYED full time. Your career coach will work with you to develop a career plan, while connecting you with the resources needed to achieve your goals. Your career coach will support you to overcome and navigate hurdles that you may be facing. We partner with you in your job search to not only find a job, but to find full-time, meaningful employment that is stable and career-building.
