Training for immigrants and refugees (anyone born outside the US)

A 5 week training, where students will learn important office words, how offices work in the U.S., and how to communicate in an office. The class will teach students how to manage emails, schedule appointments, and use office equipment, all while practicing English.  

This class is for people who want to improve their English, work in an office, or get ready for a Microsoft Office course to earn a certificate.  

How to Participate

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Born outside the U.S
  • Pass English Assessment
  • Pass Digital Literacy Assessment
  • Ability to attend all class sessions

To Register:

Attend an intake session in person at the International Institute of MN, 1694 Como Ave. St. Paul, MN 55108.

Intake Sessions occur every Friday from 11am- 12pm.

Outcomes

Students will be prepared to take the Microsoft Office Outlook Certification exam.

They will receive a class completion certificate for completing the requirements of the class.

After graduation, students will receive employment navigation services and help finding a job.
