Students will learn the job of a dietary aide in a nursing home setting. They will be trained on:
- Food Safety and Infection Control
- Introduction to Nutrition
- Special Diets & American Foods
- Communicating with Residents
- Northstar Digital Literacy
- Financial Literacy
There will also be a practical, in-person experience serving residents in a nursing home.
How to Participate
Applicants must be:
- Born outside the US
- Have intermediate level English
- Have access to a computer (we can help to provide one if needed)
- Be fully vaccinated
Outcomes
Graduates will receive a certificate of completion. They will also receive career navigation support from our employment navigator to place them in a job that meets their personal and career goals.
