Dietary Aide Training
Monday, March 18, 2024 to Friday, April 12, 2024
Monday: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm in person
Tuesday: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm in person
Wednesday: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm in person
Thursday: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm in person
Friday: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm in person

Students will learn the job of a dietary aide in a nursing home setting.  They will be trained on:

  • Food Safety and Infection Control
  • Introduction to Nutrition
  • Special Diets & American Foods
  • Communicating with Residents
  • Northstar Digital Literacy
  • Financial Literacy

There will also be a practical, in-person experience serving residents in a nursing home.

How to Participate

Applicants must be:

  • Born outside the US
  • Have intermediate level English
  • Have access to a computer (we can help to provide one if needed)
  • Be fully vaccinated
Outcomes

Graduates will receive a certificate of completion.  They will also receive career navigation support from our employment navigator to place them in a job that meets their personal and career goals.
