Dietary Aide Training

Monday, Marzo 18, 2024 to Friday, Abril 12, 2024

Monday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in person

Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in person

Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in person

Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in person

Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in person

Students will learn the job of a dietary aide in a nursing home setting. They will be trained on:

Food Safety and Infection Control
Introduction to Nutrition
Special Diets & American Foods
Communicating with Residents
Northstar Digital Literacy
Financial Literacy

There will also be a practical, in-person experience serving residents in a nursing home.

How to Participate

Applicants must be:

Born outside the US
Have intermediate level English
Have access to a computer (we can help to provide one if needed)
Be fully vaccinated

Outcomes

Graduates will receive a certificate of completion. They will also receive career navigation support from our employment navigator to place them in a job that meets their personal and career goals.
