Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
Audience:
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) helps low-income, unemployed adults 55 and older. These adults want to or need to return to work, but may need extra support, updated skills, work experience, and job search and placement assistance to successfully find and keep a job.
The services of this program are ideal for low- income, unemployed adults, 55 or older who:
- Wish to update their resume with a current work experience
- Need assistance with job search
- Want to return to work part time or full time after retirement
- Need work experience because they have little recent work experience outside the home and have lost a partner
- Want to return to the workforce and give back to their communities
- Want to feel confident that they can live a vibrant, purposeful life at any age
Eligibility Requirements
This is an eligibility-based service. The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) helps low-income (living at or below 125% of Federal Poverty Guidelines), unemployed adults 55 and older. These adults want to or need to return to work, but may need extra support, updated skills, work experience, and job search and placement assistance to successfully find and keep a job.
