Property Maintenance Training

Learn the core skills needed for a successful career in Property Maintenance. Class Topics include: 

  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Print Reading 
  • Hand Tools
  • Green Manufacturing 
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • OSHA 10
  • Intro to Boilers
  • Intro to HVAC

Classes Start August 4 - September 25 (6pm - 9 pm) Monday to Thursday. 

Meet with Employers Partners after graduation to apply for job opportunities at $20+/hour. This course will provide pathways into careers that are in high demand, with a projection for 10 years of growth.

How to Participate

Eligibility: 

  • 18 years or older
  • At or above 5th-grade math and reading skills. 
  • Available to attend all training dates. 
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Live within the 7 county Metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington) 
  • Meet one of following:
    • Individuals of color
    • Individuals lacking stable housing
    • Individuals with a criminal record
    • Individuals without a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Individuals with disabilities
    • Individuals who have been unemployed for 26 or more of the past 52 weeks
    • Individuals with limited English or math proficiency
    • Individuals at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline
Outcomes

MN special Engineer Boiler’s license (60 hrs.) technical training, exam prep, and exam fee's covered with course. Participants will exit to employment (maintenance & repair workers; painters, construction, maintenance, installation, etc.) or post-secondary education.

FREE TRAINING!

FREE BUS/GAS cards to eligible participants & other incentives. Assistance to purchase a laptop to attend virtual classes.
