Entrepreneurship Training for Immigrants and Refugees
Saturday, October 11, 2025 to Saturday, November 15, 2025
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. In person

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be Born Outside US
  • Attend an orientation session
  • Pass English Assessment
  • Pass Google Docs assessment
  • Can attend all classes
  • Has a business they want to improve or an idea they want to pursue

Class Topics include:

  • Writing a business plan
  • Marketing
  • Business financial statements
  • Funding types and business structures
  • Developing your pitch
  • Networking  and connection to resources

Students will write a business plan and then develop a pitch that will be delivered to a panel of expert business professionals.

Students will also take the US Entrepreneurship Exam to earn their US Entrepreneurship certificate.

 

How to Participate

Step 1) Attend an orientation session

Step 2) Fill out an application

Step 3) Pass a digital literacy assessment

Step 4) Pass an English assessment

Outcomes

Program Costs

This program is free to all eligible participants.  You must be born outside of the US to be eligible.
