We are offering a 15-week virtual Information Technology training program designed to prepare participants for entry-level IT and networking careers, including Cybersecurity, IT Support, and Networking. This program is available to individuals across Minnesota.
Cisco CCST IT Support:Focus: Helpdesk, troubleshooting, and end-user support
Skills You’ll Learn:
- Hardware & software troubleshooting
- Operating systems (Windows, basic Linux/macOS)
- Customer support & ticketing systems
- Basic security and networking concepts
Common Jobs:
- IT Support Specialist
- Help Desk Technician
- Desktop Support Technician
- Technical Support Associate
Focus: Building and maintaining computer networks
Skills You’ll Learn:
- Network fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP)
- Routers, switches, and wireless networks
- Network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Network security basics
Common Jobs:
- Network Technician
- Junior Network Administrator
- Network Support Specialist
- NOC Technician
Focus: Protecting systems, networks, and data
Skills You’ll Learn:
- Cyber threats and attack types
- Security monitoring and incident response
- Access control and security policies

- Your household income is under the federal poverty guidelines
- A member of an underrepresented community living in low-income circumstances
- A woman looking to break into tech (MN WESA grant)

Upon Successful Completion of the Program:
- You will test for Cisco CCST certifications (IT Support, Networking, and/or Cybersecurity)
