Powering Minnesota’s Diverse Tech Workforce

TechFluent scales industry-leading technology training, mentorship and employment programs to offer in-person services to 40 individuals in Minnesota. The March 2025 Cohort is focused on the Minneapolis region as well as under-represented groups across the State of Minnesota.

The Cohort is expected to launch on July 8, 2025. This Cohort will be offered as a Hybrid Learning Model – Live, Live-Virtual and Self-Study Coursework. Live and Live-Virtual Classes will be held at Sabathani Community Center, while some self-study courses may be performed at home.

Classes are scheduled to run Monday thru Thursday, 9am to 4pm on-site at Sabathani Community Center, 310 East 38th Street, Minneapolis MN 55409. Every Friday, Office Hours are available in the TechCenter for extra assistance. 

There are 5 Learning Modules:

  • Introduction to the Technology Industry (Live) = July 8 - Apr 17 and Nov 10 - Nov 20
  • Microsoft Fundamentals & Soft Skills (Self-study) = July 21 - July 24 and Oct 20 - Nov 6
  • CE / Power Platform / Capstone Project (Live and Live Virtual) = July 28 - Dec 5
  • Power BI / Capstone Project (Live and Live Virtual) = Dec 15 - Feb 20
  • Introduction to ERP (Live and Self-Study) = Feb 23 - Mar 25

This Program will complete by mid- March, 2026. Capstone-style Projects will commence after each Learning Module. Certification Exams will follow in March 2026 with Graduation occurring in early April 2026.

How to Participate

TechFluent's Program Manager will contact you by phone to validate Eligibility, you will take a Personality Assessment online and the Program Manager will schedule any other required Assessments as necessary. Once all Assessments are complete and all Required Paperwork is in hand, the Program Manager will schedule an Interview with an Industry Professional.

You will attend Pre-Launch Webinar.

Attend Launch on-site on July 9, 2025 at Sabathani Community Center and all following classes as scheduled.

Outcomes

Each learner completing the program will receive a certificate of completion in the following areas:

  • Microsoft Office Fundamentals
  • TechFluent Academy Technology Industry & Business Soft Skills
  • CE / Power Platform and Power BI Certification Preparation

Each Learner will choose two Certification Exams from the following list (*Learner must study for and pass the exams on their own):

Program Costs

There is no cost for this training to those that meet the eligibility requirements.  These requirements include:

+ adults in underserved communities who are eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship,

+ AND are 18 years of age or older at the time of enrollment,

+ AND who are not enrolled in any K-12 school,

+ AND who are seeking employment,

+ AND are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines

+ OR are an individual of color

+ OR are a woman entering the Technology Industry

+ AND reside in Minnesota
