A state labor exchange is a website that allows employers to post jobs that can be searched for by job seekers within a state. If you want to cast a wide talent recruitment net and reach great candidates, posting your open positions on Minnesota's state labor exchange via the Post-a-Job platform is a powerful place to start.

Jobs posted on the Post-a-Job platform will be searchable on CareerForce.MN.gov, USNLx.com and associated sites, other state and federal job sites, veteran- and disability-focused job sites, and LinkedIn Jobs.

Some employers are required to post open positions on a state labor exchange due to state or federal government regulations. Employers can meet that requirement in Minnesota using either of the two methods below.

Two ways to post your open jobs for free:

Option 1: Register on Post-a-Job and manually post your jobs

You will be directed to this account creation page prior to accessing the Post-a-Job platform.

Job posts made on Post-a-Job can be accessed by job seekers on CareerForce.MN.gov and several other job search sites. To manually post your open positions at no cost on Post-a-Job:

      1. Create an account.
      2. Add employer information about your organization.
      3. Once your account is approved, start posting!

Log in or register and post your open positions on the Post-a-Job platform.

Option 2: Request free indexing by the U.S. National Labor Exchange

If you post your open positions on your company website, you may request free indexing of your open positions by the National Labor Exchange, rather than posting them manually.

To request free indexing of the job listings on your corporate website, the first step is to complete and submit a request form to the National Labor Exchange at the link below.

Complete a request form for free job indexing from the National Labor Exchange.
