Free Office Assistant Training for new Americans
Monday, October 5, 2026 to Thursday, November 12, 2026
Monday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person

Training for immigrants and refugees (anyone born outside the US)

A 6 week training, where students will learn important office vocabulary, how offices work in the U.S., and how to communicate in an office. The class will teach students how to manage emails, schedule appointments, and use office equipment, all while practicing English.  

This class is for people who want to improve their English, work in an office, or get ready for a Microsoft Office course to earn a certificate.

 Step 2) Attend an orientation session

Step 3) Fill out an application

Step 4) Pass a digital literacy assessment

Step 5) Pass an English assessment

Outcomes

Students who complete this program will:

  • Participate in professional mock interviews
  • Be prepared to take Microsoft Office certification
  • Receive support from a Career Advancement Specialist to help advance in their career
