Free Housekeeping Training for New Americans
Monday, September 7, 2026 to Friday, October 16, 2026
Monday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person
Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in person

Eligibility:

  • Be born outside the US
  • Be able to attend all in person classes
  • Have low level of English

Our Housekeeping Training is fun and hands-on. You will meet other classmates from around the world. You will learn English, while you are learning the skills for the housekeeping job, such as:

  • Proper cleaning and sanitation procedure
  • Chemical safety
  • Customer service
  • English for work
  • Dialogue with customers, coworkers and supervisors
  • Bed-making basics
  • Workplace safety
  • Computer skills
  • Speed skills
  • Practical experience at local employers
How to Participate

You must come to an in-person intake session to register for class.

When: 

  • Every Friday

Arrive between 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Getdirections.)

No appointment is needed.

Please plan to be here for at least two hours, depending on how many students are waiting. During your visit, you will take an English test and talk about your goals. Our teachers will help you start the best class for your learning level.

Outcomes

Students who complete this training will:

  • Gain work and English skills to help them obtain a job
  • Receive support from an employment navigator to find a job
  • Be able to use teachers and navigators as professional reference
