Celebrating Value and Talent 

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is held each October to commemorate the many and varied contributions of people with disabilities to America’s workplaces and economy. In recognition of the positive impact of people with disabilities in the American workforce, the theme for National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) 2025 is “Celebrating Value and Talent.”  

The U.S. Department of Labor website has posters, messaging ideas and other resources.  

In Minnesota, the month is being marked in different ways:  

Resources for people with disabilities and community members: 

  • Learn about Connect 700, an on-the-job training program for State of Minnesota employment that offers an alternative procedure for employment candidates whose disabilities make them unable to demonstrate their skills and abilities in the standard competitive selection process. 

Resources for employers:
