Virtual Community Resource Fair Wednesday, October 14, 2026

Join us to learn about the resources that are available in our community! 

This event will feature some community resources in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota metro area.

Each agency will give a short presentation about their organization and the resources they offer. After the presentation, you will have the opportunity to speak with someone from each agency to ask questions.

Agencies attending:

Computer Access:

• PCs for People - Computer resources.

Counseling and Case Management

• Interprofessional Center (IPC) - University of St. Thomas students, faculty and staff collaborate to provide free counseling and legal services to people who don’t have the resources to pay for professional services. 

Energy Assistance

• Community Action Partnership - helps Hennepin County residents pay gas and electric bills.

Food

• Community Emergency Services – Food resources including the Food Market and food lockers where you can pick up groceries on your own schedule, Meals on Wheels for senior citizens or people who are living with a disability and find it hard to shop or cook, and AniMeals for food and basic supplies for pets.

Respite Care:

• Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery - Overnight residential care for parents to place their newborn to 6-year-old children for up to three nights while they address their crisis.

Social Services:

• Missions Inc. Programs - Substance use disorder, housing, and domestic violence services

Transportation

• Metro Transit – The Transit Assistance Program offers $1 bus rides, plus information about public transportation options throughout the Twin Cities.

This online event is free to all community members, workforce professionals, employment services staff, counselors and anyone interested in learning more about these resources. It’s easy to join with a smart phone, tablet or computer.
