The governor has proclaimed May as Hire a Veteran Month in Minnesota. Throughout the month of May, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) and other state and local agencies will draw attention to the great value veterans bring to Minnesota employers.
20th on the 20th: Don’t miss the Veterans Career Fair May 20, 2026
DEED and MDVA co-host the 20th Annual Veterans Career Fair on May 20 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center. The event features 100 veteran-friendly employers. Veterans, current service members, members of the National Guard and Reserves, military spouses, and Gold Star families are all invited to attend.
