Microsoft Software Essentials provides learners with comprehensive training in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Participants will develop proficiency in creating and formatting documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, enabling them to navigate these essential software tools with ease. From understanding document organization and formatting in Microsoft Word to acquiring data entry and calculation skills in Excel, and finally, creating impactful presentations with PowerPoint, this course ensures participants are well-equipped with the foundational skills necessary for success in various professional settings. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on experience, covering everything from creating and saving documents to advanced formatting techniques and effective collaboration through the sharing of documents and presentations. Upon completion, participants will have the skills needed to thrive in workplaces where Microsoft Office proficiency is essential.

After you complete our course and pass the exam, we offer career exploration and job support through our MTFS Gather Program.

Minnesota Tech for Success (MTFS), a CareerForce partner, offers independent study and on-demand CompTIA courses year-round. You can begin once your enrollment process is complete.

Education and Basic Skills- A high school diploma or GED is generally preferred by employers for related positions but is not required to enroll in these courses.
- Participants should have basic math and reading skills at approximately an 8th-grade level, along with sufficient English proficiency to understand instructions and complete course activities.
