The Employer Engagement Committee is a key element of a workforce development initiative designed to connect industry employers with workforce efforts, ensuring responsiveness to employer needs. The committee will act as a bridge between industry employers and workforce development partners.
Aligning with objective #1 to Grow and Strengthen Partnerships, the goals for this committee include:
- Establishing ongoing communication channels between manufacturers and workforce development partners to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged
- Providing input to partners for developing and implementing training programs that are directly responsive to employer needs, ultimately leading to a more skilled workforce
- Suggesting a sustainable model for workforce development that continues to adapt and respond to the evolving landscape of the manufacturing sector
