When Jordan first connected with Leading CareerForce Partner Rural Minnesota Concentrated Employment Program (RMCEP), he was already a dedicated employee who had been with the same company since June 2018. Although he was steadily employed, Jordan recognized that earning his Class A CDL would open new doors for advancement with his current employer including greater earning potential, increased job security and the ability to better support his family. He entered the program with a clear vision of where he wanted to go and the determination to make it happen.

Unlike many participants who face significant barriers, Jordan’s path was driven not by overcoming obstacles but by his strong will, focus and commitment to professional growth. He knew that advancing within his current company required additional credentials, and he was ready to put in the work.

Jordan set an ambitious goal: complete his Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training as efficiently as possible. His projected training timeline was October 13, 2025, through January 15, 2026. However, through hard work and dedication, he far exceeded expectations, graduating with his Certificate of Completion on October 31, 2025. This rapid achievement demonstrated not only his motivation but also his readiness to take on new responsibilities in his career.

Through RMCEP and Minnesota Dislocated Worker Incumbent Worker Training funding, Jordan received financial assistance for his training at Central MN Truck Academy. With this support, he was able to focus fully on his coursework and skill development. Upon completing the program, Jordan successfully earned his Class A CDL and exited RMCEP services.

At the time of exit, Jordan remained employed with his current employer and had already received a wage increase – an early sign of the long-term benefits his new credential will bring. With his CDL in hand, he now has expanded opportunities within his company and the broader industry.

When reflecting on his experience, Jordan shared that he feels secure knowing his Class A CDL gives him the ability to work and earn a good wage. His success is a testament to what can be achieved when determination meets opportunity.

Jordan’s journey highlights the power of investing in one’s future and the impact of workforce programs that help individuals advance in their careers. His story is one of motivation, achievement, and the promise of continued success.
