Start your career in Information Technology with Neighbors, Inc.’s no-cost CompTIA Tech+ and A+ Certification Training Program. This comprehensive program prepares participants for entry-level IT support and help desk careers through instructor-led training, industry-recognized certifications, and personalized career coaching.
Participants will complete training leading to CompTIA Tech+, CompTIA A+ Core 1, and CompTIA A+ Core 2 while building the technical and professional skills employers seek. Throughout the program, participants receive one-on-one career coaching, resume development, interview preparation, job search assistance, and connections to employers hiring IT professionals.

Rebecca will help determine eligibility, guide participants through enrollment, and provide support throughout the training program and job search process.
Participants who successfully complete the program will:
- Prepare for the CompTIA Tech+, A+ Core 1, and A+ Core 2 certification exams.
- Develop the technical skills needed for entry-level IT support, help desk, and desktop support roles.
- Strengthen professional skills through career coaching, resume development, interview preparation, and job search assistance.
- Connect with employers seeking qualified entry-level IT professionals.
Program Cost
Free for eligible participants. Training is funded through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
Eligibility
Participants must:
- Be authorized to work in the United States.
- Not be enrolled in a K-12 school.
- Be proficient in English, as required to successfully complete the training.
In addition, participants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Individual of color.
- Individual lacking stable housing.
- Individual with a criminal record.
- Individual without a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Individual with a disability.
- Unemployed for 26 or more of the past 52 weeks.
- Household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
