When Marmaduke first connected with Leading CareerForce Partner Rural MN CEP, he was underemployed but determined to create a better future for his family. With prior experience driving tow and box trucks, Marmaduke knew he had the skills — and the passion — to pursue something more. “I like driving!” he shared with a smile.
After discussing his goals and exploring various training options, Marmaduke decided that the CDL program at M State in Wadena was the perfect fit. Rural MN CEP helped cover his training expenses through a Drive for 5 grant. With hard work and commitment, Marmaduke quickly completed the CDL program.
Marmaduke started work at a local trucking company in October after earning his Class A CDL license. He is excited for the stability and benefits that come with his new position. Marmaduke’s story is a great example of how determination and support can pave the way to long-term success.
