“It’s one of the best events we’ve attended,” said Dan Schroeder from Donaldson Company, about his experience at the 2025 Veterans Career Fair, where a high volume of job seekers visited the company booth. “We’ve talked with a number of candidates whose experience lines up with positions we have. I look forward to following up with them to see if we can find them a home.”

Dan attended this year’s event with his colleague, Emily Goetz, at the Donaldson Company booth. Emily is a member of the Minnesota National Guard, whom Dan hired a few years ago.

“As a proud Yellow Ribbon company, it’s important for us to be at events like this and show our support of veterans and their families,” said Dan about Donaldson Company, a global filtration solutions firm with its headquarters right here in Bloomington.

Donaldson Company works with current and former U.S. Military Service Members to apply the skills and experience they earned through military service to civilian positions within their organization. This is part of their commitment to veterans that earned them Yellow Ribbon designation.

Yellow Ribbon employers are businesses and organizations that actively support military service members, veterans, and their families. This support includes policies and practices aimed at the recruitment, hiring, and retention of veterans, current service members, and their spouses.

The 19th Annual Veterans Career Fair was held on May 21, 2025 at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center. The 20th Annual Veterans Career Fair will take place in May 2026.
